Wellness with Neeta Chair Yoga

Try It! – Chair Yoga with Neeta is a 10-week course. We recommend that you attend all 10 sessions. However, if you have to miss one, that’s okay – you don’t need to book for all sessions in advance.

No prior experience is required to join the course. We welcome you and your friends to have some fun and Try It! this autumn.

Are you a Yoga fan and uncomfortable with using a Yoga Mat? Try Chair Yoga – simply Yoga but on a chair instead of a mat.

Yoga is known to have many benefits for both the physical body and the mind. The club aims to make Yoga more inclusive especially for the senior community.

Chair Yoga is for every ‘body’ not just older people, and it can be done at a desk or other places where you are seated. During Chair Yoga, we can stretch and strengthen different muscles of the body by sitting down as well as by standing and using the chair for support. The breathing exercises done during the session can help with stress and anxiety and they also help to strengthen the respiratory system.

The benefits from the exercises can be felt immediately at the end of a session: improvement of your physical and mental health, better sleep, boost to your immune system and flexibility to name a few. I would love for people to experience these for themselves.
